Gain an intellectual and social understanding of the relationship between Australia and the United States through rigorous courses rooted in critical communication, environmental studies, economics, and business. You’ll have the opportunity to study Down Under at the University of Sydney or the University of Newcastle, immersing yourself in Australian culture and gaining important cultural, historical, literary, and political perspectives.

Core to the minor is developing key skills in problem solving, data analysis, and communication that will prepare you for a range of careers in the public or private sector in everything from business and law to politics and media. Australian studies minors often pursue opportunities with Fulbright, the Peace Corps, and programs of study at the graduate and doctoral level.
