First-Class Facilities

The Department of Music is housed in the recently renovated and expanded Keene Hall with 27,000 square feet of space. The 400-seat John M. Tiedtke Concert Hall, where two rebuilt Steinway D Concert grand pianos reside, is our flagship venue. It serves as the main performance hall for all departmental concerts and also hosts visiting artists sponsored by the Winter Park Institute and the Bach Festival Society. Other facilities include a large rehearsal room; a 10-station state-of-the-art keyboard and computer lab; a recording studio; a chamber music rehearsal room; SMART classrooms; faculty studios; and practice rooms.

Personalized Approach

From the moment you show an interest in our Department of Music, you’ll be treated as an individual. We will take the time to get to know you, your educational/professional goals, and your family. We will answer any questions you may have; encourage you to visit the campus, sit in on our music classes, and have lunch with some of our music majors; and offer a relaxed atmosphere for your audition. You will find your visit to Rollins and our Department of Music to be unique and refreshing—an experience that will stand out among all others.
