Professor of Psychology

Paul Harris has been a professor at Rollins College since 2000. His undergraduate courses include research methods and statistics, applied social psychology, environmental psychology, emotion, and the psychology of prejudice. He has also taught in several Rollins graduate programs, including classes on team building for the Master of Human Resources, the Arts and Crafts Movement for the Master of Liberal Studies, and survey and experimental methods for the Crummer Executive Doctorate in Business Administration.

Dr. Harris’s training includes degrees in social psychology, experimental psychology, and interior design. The design degree demonstrates an interest in person-environment relationships, as shown by research on home attachment, the creation of optimal library spaces, and environmental factors that influence patient satisfaction. He also has expertise in scale development, including assessments of patient perceptions of healthcare quality, undergraduate perceptions of teaching, trait competitiveness and cooperativeness, and prosocial and aggressive driving.
