Nina Steigerwald, PhD

After completing her undergraduate studies at Rollins College, Dr. Steigerwald returned to Rollins first as an Adjunct Professor and later as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology. She teaches in both the Hamilton Holt School and the College of Liberal Arts, offering courses in Statistics and Research Methods, Organizational Development, Psychology of Work, Organizational Psychology, and Senior Research Seminar. Prior to joining Rollins, she also taught several psychology courses at the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Steigerwald's research focuses on occupational health psychology, with particular interests in employee health and well-being, work engagement, recovery from work, and organizational interventions that promote healthy and thriving workplaces. She also enjoys collaborating with students and colleagues on research related to individual differences (e.g., hypercompetitiveness and proactive personality), leadership, and the experience of meaningful work.

As an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, Dr. Steigerwald enjoys bringing her organizational training and development consulting experience into the classroom. She strives to create engaging, applied learning experiences that help students connect psychological theory with real-world organizational challenges.
