Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology

Dr. Slifkin is a human factors and cognitive psychologist who applies knowledge of human cognition to develop human-centered solutions to real-world problems. Her work integrates human factors and I/O psychology to improve interactions between people, technology, and organizations—enhancing decision-making, efficiency, and the employee experience. Her research explores perception, decision-making under uncertainty, and interactions with complex systems, with recent work examining how interruptions affect people’s ability to detect phishing emails.
