Junior Year – Fall or Spring

Apply to the MAT – Secondary Education accelerated master’s program and meet with your academic advisor to map out your senior year registration.
Senior Year – Fall

Take three graduate-level courses—EDU 571 Introduction to Education, EDU 572 Educational Psychology, and EDU 670 Classroom Management—that count toward both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Senior Year – Spring

Take three graduate-level courses—EDU 535 Content Area Reading, EDU 517 Instructional Strategies & Management, and EDU 517L Secondary Education Field Experience—that count toward both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
Graduate School — Summer

Take one graduate-level course—EDU 524 Curriculum and Assessment—that counts toward your master’s degree. You’ll also take the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE) Professional Education Exam.
Graduate School — Fall

Complete your full-time student teaching experience. In addition to student teaching, you’ll also take five credit hours of courses.
