Why do I have limited access to my student's college records when I'm paying his/her college expenses? In an effort to comply with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ) regulations a school must:

• Have consent prior to the disclosure of education records;
• Ensure that the consent is signed and dated and states the purpose of the disclosure.
