Academic Advising

International Students

International students are focused on making the transition to Rollins and the United States of America successfully. Additionally, International students are trying to understand the similarities and differences between Rollins' academic expectations and culture from their previous educational experience and culture.

Milestones for International Students (Every Academic Year)

International students are required to meet all graduation requirements for Rollins and should be advised according to their major and class standing. Additionally, when advising international students, please take into consideration the additional milestones international students have every academic year to maintain their F-1 or J-1 immigration status. You may consult with the Office of International Student Services (OISS) if you need any further clarification on the eligibility requirements of the international student you are advising.

  • Complete a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year (must get permission from OISS to reduce a course load)
  • Achieve a 2.0+ cumulative GPA
  • Maintain student visa
  • Connected and Engaged with the Office of International Students and Scholars
