Rollins Wellbeing Champion Award

The Rollins Wellbeing Champion Award recognizes a Rollins faculty or staff member for being a role model in the area of wellbeing. This award is granted annually to the individual who is an ambassador of the Rollins Wellbeing committee's mission to create and promote a healthy campus community in which to live, learn, teach, work, or visit. The award recipient will receive a personalized trophy and a $150 gift from Rollins Wellbeing Committee.

Current Recipient

The following comments describe this year’s award winner:

This person goes above and beyond her regular work duties to do a lot to ensure that morale remains high in the library. She organizes social functions, makes goody bags for the student workers, and always looks for ways to maintain our mental wellness. She goes out of her way to ensure that all staff feel recognized for their work and is a constant advocate for our facilities staff (teaching them ESL in her spare time). She started several traditions in the library that foster a sense of camaraderie and inclusiveness, such as trivia competitions and service excellence shout-outs at meetings.

Eligibility

  • All regular faculty and staff scheduled to work at least 1,000 hours per year.

  • Must have completed 1 or more years of service to the College.

Nominees can be a co-worker or self-appointed and will have demonstrated the successful practice of wellness principles. The nominee may have a success story of their own, or as an influential leader to others in one or more areas of wellness (examples include: healthy living, physical wellness, emotional wellness).   

Please note that all nominees will be contacted by the Rollins Wellbeing Committee to obtain their approval to be included in the selection process. The winner will be presented with an award at the annual staff luncheon.
