Rollins Wellbeing Champion Award

The Rollins Wellbeing Champion Award recognizes a Rollins faculty or staff member for being a role model in the area of wellbeing. This award is granted annually to the individual faculty or staff member who is an ambassador of the R-Wellness committee's mission. The award recipient receives a personalized trophy and a $150 gift from the Rollins Wellbeing Committee.

  • “He has participated in the Communities for Health program and has taken action to improve his overall wellbeing.”

  • “He is modest, but happy to share the secrets of his success, and should be proud of what he has accomplished.”
  • “He motivates others in his office to go for walks and participate in wellness events, including the Corporate 5k.”
  • “He has become quite the amateur cycler and can be seen biking to campus and other community rides.”
  • “Not only has he worked on his own health but he also has gotten his wife and others to be more active as well. He leads cycling teams and encourages his wife and friends to go on rides with him, often more than 30 miles at a time.”
  • “In 2017, he tracked more than 6,000 miles, 463 hours, and climbed over 95,000 feet in total elevation.”
  • “Quite the cyclist, he is just returning from a bike trek through Italy with several of his cycle comrades.”

  • All regular faculty and staff scheduled to work at least 1,000 hours per year.

  • Must have completed 1 or more years of service to the College.

Nominees can be a co-worker or self-appointed and will have demonstrated successful practice of wellness principles. The nominee may have a success story of their own, or as an influential leader to others in one or more areas of wellness (examples include: healthy living, physical wellness, emotional wellness).   

Please note that all nominees will be contacted by the Rollins Wellbeing Committee to obtain their approval to be included in the selection process. The winner will be presented with an award at the annual staff luncheon.
