Last year, we awarded over $130,000 in departmental scholarships. Rollins is closer than you think.

The Department of Theatre & Dance offers several scholarships. The most prestigious is the Priscilla Parker Scholarship: $40,000 ($10,000 per academic year, renewable annually). Each February, we welcome students wishing to begin at Rollins the following fall to audition/interview for the Priscilla Parker Scholarship.

2023 Application Process

Follow these three steps to apply for scholarship consideration:

  1. Apply for admission to Rollins College by Friday, February 2, 2024. Click here for all the information you need to apply to the college.
  2. Submit your Priscilla Parker application and supporting documents here by Friday, February 2, 2024.

    We ask for:
    - Headshot (a simple photo of your face is fine – no professional snap needed!)
    - Resume highlighting your experience in the theatre
    - Two letters of reference
    - The personal essay from your application to Rollins College
  3. Attend our all-day Priscilla Experience at Rollins on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The faculty, staff, and students of the Department of Theatre and Dance cannot wait to meet you!

We will contact you once we receive your materials to offer additional instructions. In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact Alex Feliciano at for assistance.

Prepare for the audition or interview, depending on your area of interest:

Prepare two separate and contrasting monologues totaling two minutes. Properties or costumes are not permitted. An interview will follow the audition.

Musical Theatre

Prepare one monologue and roughly 16-32 bars of one song. Your monologue and song should contrast one another and not total more than two minutes. Properties or costumes are not permitted. If you are a dancer, you are welcome to present a piece in your chosen style, up to one minute in length, in addition to your song and monologue (three minutes total). An interview will follow the audition.

Design, Technical Direction, Stage Management, Directing, or Dramaturgy

Prepare a PowerPoint or other digital portfolio, including items such as photographs, renderings, critical reviews, or narratives of recent work. You will have five minutes to present the portfolio to the departmental faculty and staff, followed by an interview.

Applying for colleges and making your selection is exciting and can be overwhelming. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns (there is nothing too silly to ask). Email Alex Feliciano at or call 407-646-2501.
