Here’s a great opportunity for real-world experience addressing problems. Social Entrepreneurship majors are required to complete an Immersion; this is typically a long weekend or a week-long adventure where you are off campus, tackling a pressing social, political, health, or environmental issue in the community. These may be local, domestic, or international. Trained faculty, staff and student site leaders provide direction and support for participants during their journey of education, reflection and action.

Select field studies/summer programs count both as a global experience and an immersion.
We believe that students learn best with practical applications. Classroom learning is tied to community practice and infused within our major. Consult for local non-profits; learn from social enterprise founders; develop marketing plans for socially responsible businesses; implement educational projects for underprivileged children. Wherever the need, we’re ready to help you get involved!
