The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art

The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art at Rollins College is an insightful art collection and a tribute to contemporary culture, social history, global perspectives, and philanthropy. Created by Barbara and Theodore Alfond (R '68), prominent art collectors and patrons of the arts, this dynamic collection is predominantly showcased at The Alfond Inn.

Conceived as a "visual syllabus," the collection embodies the liberal arts ideals that shaped the Alfonds' education at Rollins and their lives since. It emphasizes critical thinking, cultural understanding, expanding perspectives, exploring global traditions, and the importance of language.
