On Campus Communities
Knowles Memorial Chapel - The chapel and its services represent Rollins' unique heritage and adventurous founding. From morning until late at night, the chapel provides a place of meeting, a place of quiet, and a visible reminder of the relationship between the religious life and the academic search for truth. A nondenominational Christian Worship Service occurs every Sunday at 11 a.m. during the academic year; a Roman Catholic Mass is held on Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
Buddhist Services - Buddhist services at Rollins exist to provide a location for Buddhist students to practice chanting and meditation in the Theravada and Mahayana traditions. Anyone seeking to learn more about Buddhism, or simply wishing to participate in meditation is welcome. This is a safe space for all students of any (or no) faith background. There is space built into the service for discussion and questions.
Mindful Meditation - Meditation helps the Rollins community to clear and focus their minds. When practicing meditation senses become sharp and fresh, creativity explodes, and people find themselves joyful. It’s been found that when tension melts away, people discover that they are at peace.
Student Organizations
Catholic Campus Ministry (Newman Club) - Named for St. John Newman's writings encouraging clubs for Catholics at secular universities, the Newman Club is specifically the student sector of Catholic Campus Ministry, which provides opportunities for students to participate in dialogues and activities concerning the Catholic faith. We welcome with open arms any member of the campus community to come celebrate Mass with us.
Hillel@rollins (Hillel) - Hillel@ Rollins promotes an understanding of Jewish life and culture at Rollins College through social events, religious observances, and guest speakers. Hillel is an international organization that provides opportunities for Jewish students at more than 500 colleges and universities to explore and celebrate their Jewish identity. However, Hillel@rollins upholds a commitment to building an inclusive community accepting of all beliefs.
Muslim Student Union - Rollins MSU is a student organization that provides a welcoming community for Muslim students as well as students of other faiths. MSU supports students’ spiritual needs during their tenure at Rollins and presents opportunities to have a positive college experience. Additionally, MSU members seek to educate the Rollins community about Islam as well as Islamic history, art and culture.
Rollins College Philosophy and Religion Club - The Rollins College Philosophy and Religion Club is a space for philosophical discussion, peripatetic excursions, and to maybe attain nirvāṇa.
