Learn more about Rollins’ SACSCOC Accreditation, including the reaffirmation process, the fifth-year interim report, and accreditation resources.

Overview

Rollins College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral degrees. Official information regarding the College's regional accreditation may be found on the Office of Institutional Research website. SACSCOC performs a comprehensive review of insitutional accreditation every 10 years, with a fifth-year report required in the interim.

About Reaffirmation

Reaffirmation of regional accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requires completion of a Compliance Certification document, the development of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), off- and on-site peer reviews, as well as a Commission review.

The Reaffirmation Process

Rollins College's regional accreditation was reaffirmed in 2015 with no recommendations for improvement. The College's next decennial review will take place in 2025 and will include the following.

  • Preparation of a Compliance Certification document, demonstrating the College's judgment of the extent to which it complies with each of the SASCOC Core Requirements and Comprehensive Standards, as well as Federal Regulations.
  • Review of the Compliance Certification document by an off-site a committee of professional peers.
  • The development of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) intended to enhance student learning.
  • Review of the Compliance Certification and QEP proposal by an on-site committee of professional peers to assess strengths and weaknesses. This committee provides a written report which helps Rollins to improve its programs and refine its QEP, and aids the Commission in making its decision to reaffirm accreditation.
