Welcome to the February 2025 edition of Class News, our snapshot of personal achievements and professional journeys in your alumni community.
Each month we’ll share a collection of the most recent submissions, so don’t forget to keep us up to date on your latest news.
Gatherings & Milestones
Kit ’73 and Peirce “PC” Ward ’75 ’76MBA celebrated the wedding of their son, Colton, to his wife, Nivea. Their daughter, Whitney Ward Dana ’05, was also in attendance as well as Gary Lickle ’76 ’77MBA and 160 friends from around the world.
Micah ’11 and Rachael Purdy-Kokomoor ’14 welcomed their second daughter, Riley Katharine, on November 17, 2024. Riley joins older sister Teagan in the growing Purdy-Kokomoor family.
Armando Santin Herrera ’16 is celebrating his eighth year of service as a U.S. naval officer. After earning his bachelor’s degree in international relations at Rollins, he completed two deployments to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf. He is currently supporting a State Department mission to help Madagascar build a Naval Training Center for its officers. Santin Herrera lives in Newport, Rhode Island, with his wife, Vanessa Guevara ’15, whom he met at Rollins.
Onward & Upward
Sean Connolly ’96 was named board chair for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, an organization focused on providing safe, enriching after-school and summer programs for children from underserved populations.
Kevin Green ’99 ’01MA was appointed chief information security officer at Terracon, a national consulting engineering firm where he will oversee cybersecurity and information security functions and work to build a culture of cyber safety across the organization.
Cari Rotenberger ’04 has taken on the role of program coordinator for Rollins’ Knowles Memorial Chapel and the Center for Religious & Spiritual Life. She returned to campus this past November, 20 years after graduating with a degree in organizational communication. Prior to this role, Rotenberger taught pre-K and first grade and served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Florida and Valencia College.
Charles Stevens ’07 accepted a position as a music specialist for Universal Epic Universe, an upcoming theme park at Universal Orlando Resort, where he will oversee the music for live shows. The role, similar to that of a music director on Broadway, is the first of its kind at the resort. Stevens credits music professor John V. Sinclair for providing ongoing guidance throughout his career.
