SHIP Grants

Scholarship for High-Impact Pathways (SHIP) grants are designed to allow students to pursue highly impactful educational opportunities that are not funded through other areas of the college. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, funds available, and the applicability to recognized high-impact pathways (HIPs).

Examples of HIPs include

  • Community and service-based learning
  • Living-Learning Communities
  • Student research
  • Internships
  • Diversity and global learning

How to Apply:

To apply, please complete and return the SHIP application to shipgrant@rollins.edu for committee review.

Please note that funding is very limited for the 2023-24 academic year.

The committee meets four times a year to consider all SHIP grant applications received by the funding cycle deadline. These deadlines are as follows:

     1.  October 1 for funding cycle1
     2.  December 1 for funding cycle 2
     3.  February 1 for funding cycle 3
     4.  April 1 for funding cycle 4

Please take these funding cycle deadlines into consideration when submitting your application.

Please submit your application at least two months prior to your proposed experience, and no later than April 1 for summer experiences.  Applications for summer experiences received after April 1 may be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Proposals must be submitted in signed PDF and also in Word, to shipgrant@rollins.edu.  Stipulations for funding are laid out more fully in the application; if you have further questions, please send an email to shipgrant@rollins.edu.

Applications must be typed, hand-written applications will be returned and asked to be resubmitted.
