Our admission counselors share some of their favorite things about Rollins’ beloved hometown so you can experience it like a local.

Founded as a resort community by northern business magnates in the late 19th century, Winter Park is punctuated by cobblestone streets and canopies of Southern live oaks dripping with Spanish moss.

While you’re here visiting campus, get out and explore—take a boat ride on Lake Virginia, shop and dine along Park Avenue, and visit the botanical gardens to see Winter Park come to life.

Students share pizza at Prato on Park Avenue in Winter Park.

“Some of the best restaurants in Winter Park are just steps from campus. If you’re looking for delicious breakfast or weekend brunch, The Briarpatch is a must. For a quick bite, Power House Cafe is a fresh Mediterranean option, and for dinner, my favorites are Prato and Bosphorous.” — Ed Bustos, director of international admission
