Rollins Graduates Shine in The Community Paper Feature

Sydney Eckstein and Richard Stoiberer, members of Rollins College’s Class of 2026, are highlighted as international student-athletes whose college experiences were shaped by both academic rigor and athletic commitment. Eckstein, from Bali, Indonesia, earned a degree in computer science with a minor in data analytics, while Stoiberer, from Austria, completed a double major in international business and computer science, along with minors in Spanish and data analytics. Both were drawn to Rollins by the opportunity to compete in tennis while studying in a close-knit academic environment, later serving as captains of their respective teams.

Their time at Rollins reflects a balance of exploration and discipline. Eckstein entered college with a clear academic focus but expanded her interests through campus involvement, developing a passion for economics. Stoiberer, initially unsure of his academic path, discovered an interest in international business and complementary technical fields through coursework and experience. Both emphasized the importance of time management in navigating demanding schedules as student-athletes.

Beyond academics and athletics, Eckstein and Stoiberer credit campus engagement with shaping their success and outlook. They encouraged involvement in clubs and activities as a way to build connections and open unexpected opportunities. Their shared message aligns with a broader theme among graduates: remain open to new experiences while appreciating the present.

After graduation, Eckstein will begin a role as a global private bank analyst at J.P. Morgan in Orlando, while Stoiberer will pursue a master’s degree in data science at the London School of Economics, continuing his academic journey abroad.
