The Rollins College Sustainability Program consists of Rollins employed student coordinators and a program coordinator. The Committee on Environmental and Sustainable Initiatives (CESI) consists of the student sustainability coordinators, student members of EcoRollins, staff and faculty. CESI advises the administration on a wide variety of issues related to sustainable development, environmental impact, biodiversity and environmental justice. The range of issues include curricular and educational issues, facility and business issues, programmatic issues and policy-related choices concerning the environment.

Laura Gustafson-Hullinger is a graduate from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Integrative General Studies specializing in Education, Womens Studies, Anthropology, and Environmental Studies. Laura previously worked as the Public Programs Coordinator at the Orlando Science Center and is passionate about connecting the Orlando community with ongoing environmental and sustainability efforts in the greater Orlando area.

Lead Sustainability Coordinator/Bike Specialist

David graduated Dec'19 with a degree in English, minoring in Writing, in the Hamilton Holt Program and is continuing with a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies.  He has been the lead bike specialist in the Sustainability Program for 3 years now.  David hopes the skills he learned in the English and Writing disciplines, along with his work in the MLS Program will empower him to be a voice for social justice and environmentalism. David is also a keen skateboarder and birdwatcher, and, since emigrating to Florida 6 years ago from Scotland, has been visiting as many state parks and natural springs as possible.

Mia Brady '22

Lead Sustainability Coordinator

Mia is the lead Sustainability Coordinator for AY 2020-2021 and is an Environmental Studies major.  She hails from California and is involved in all sustainability initiatives and co-leads the EcoReps Program.

Katie Pharo '22

Sustainability Coordinator

Katie is an Environmental Studies major, minoring in Social Entrepreneurship and Studio Art. She runs all social media accounts for the Sustainability Program.

Becky Bailey '22

Sustainability Coordinator

Becky is an Environmental Studies major. Her areas of interest include the Urban Farm and Recycling program.

Julia Taylor '23

Sustainability Coordinator

Julia is an Environmental Studies major. She coordinates event planning for the Sustainability Program and co-leads the Eco-Reps program. 

Ashley Mathews '22

Sustainability Program

Ashley is a double major in Environmental Studies and Marine Biology.  Her areas of interest are the Sustainability Newsletter and the collaboration of and the acting laiason of the Rollins Sustainability Program and Social Impact Hub, all housed in Kathleen W. Rollins Hall.

Jason Makris '23

Sustainability Coordinator

Jason is exploring both Environmental Studies and a Biology major.  His areas of interest are campus recycling and co-manages the urban farm.

Tyler Hart '24

Sustainability Coordinator/bike specialist

Tyler serves the Sustainability Program as a bike specialist.
