Katrina Jenkins Named Dean of Religious Life
Jenkins will join the College on August 1.

Rollins welcomes the Rev. Katrina Jenkins, who will join the College as dean of religious life on August 1.
In this new role, Jenkins will provide spiritual guidance to the campus community, encourage and mentor students in their spiritual development, and advance the mission of the College to educate students for global citizenship and responsible leadership through the lens of of spiritual and religious inquiry, exploration, and appreciation.
“I’m very excited to be joining Rollins and am enthusiastic to begin working with students, faculty, and staff,” Jenkins says. “As dean of religious life, I look forward to helping develop thriving meaningful relationships among people of different religious and non-religious traditions and work towards advancing the mission of the College, service to others, and the common good of our diverse communities.”
Jenkins is a graduate of Syracuse University and received her MDiv from Andover Newton Theological School. She is ordained in the American Baptist Churches, USA. For the past five years, Katrina has served as chaplain at Illinois College, where she led weekly chapel services and organized opportunities for interfaith interaction in a safe, welcoming environment. Previously, she was chaplain and Multicultural Center liaison at Bentley University.
The College launched a national search for a dean of religious life following conversations with student leaders active in different faith communities, the Student Government Association, faculty, staff, and trustees about the kind of religious and spiritual leadership Rollins should seek for our current era.
