Ed Kania joins 21 other distinguished leaders as one of ONYX Magazine’s 2025 Men of Honor.
Ed Kania, Rollins vice president for business and finance and treasurer, has been named one of ONYX Magazine’s 2025 Men of Honor, a prestigious recognition that honors individuals from Florida and beyond who exemplify service, leadership, and impact in their professions and communities.
Kania was among 22 honorees recognized at the black-tie celebration on September 27 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando.
“He has been a true champion for community impact, always ensuring that arts, culture, and education are used as bridges for connection,” notes his nomination letter. “His passion for the arts and cultural engagement is evident in everything he does, creating lasting influence both on campus and throughout Central Florida. As a representative of Rollins, he consistently supports outreach that elevates communities of all backgrounds and makes sure that impact is intentional and inclusive. His leadership reflects Rollins’ commitment to excellence not just academically but in shaping stronger, more vibrant communities.”
Launched in 1997, ONYX Magazine is an Orlando-based publication that spotlights and celebrates Black achievement across Florida through engaging, inspiring, and informative content, and organizes signature events such as Women on the Move and Men of Honor.
