Trustee and Presidential Search Committee Chair Orlando Evora ’82 extends his thanks to the members of the search committee and the Rollins community for their invaluable contributions during the selection of Brooke Barnett as Rollins’ 16th president.

Following the announcement of Dr. Brooke Barnett as Rollins’ president-elect, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the search for the College’s next leader.

First, I wish to thank the members of the Presidential Search Committee for their leadership and vision throughout this process. Composed of representatives of key constituencies from across the College community, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni, the committee brought together a wealth of perspectives and knowledge that was invaluable in shaping this search.

I also extend my appreciation to the broader Rollins community, as well as our external partners, who played a vital role in this journey. Since launching the search in April, you helped us refine the position profile to better reflect the values and aspirations of our institution. Through surveys and open forums, you provided essential feedback on the qualities we sought in the ideal candidate, and your input was instrumental in guiding our decision-making process.

Finally, I would like to recognize Storbeck Search, a leading firm in executive search for liberal arts colleges, for their expertise and commitment to engaging our community, supporting the process, and presenting us with an exceptional pool of candidates.

We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support and involvement throughout this important process, and we are excited to welcome Dr. Barnett to the Rollins community.
