Studio art professors Lisa Cody-Rapport and Rachel Simmons ’97 and alumna Kelly Berry ’13 each contributed a piece of original artwork to be displayed on billboards around the Orlando metropolitan area.
Three Tars are set to make a big statement around Orlando. Studio art graduate Kelly Berry ’13 and faculty members Lisa Cody-Rapport and Rachel Simmons ’97 will each have their original artwork displayed on billboards as part of The Corridor Project Billboard Exhibition, a soaring exhibition spotlighting the best of the arts in Central Florida.
The project features the artwork of 30 artists from regions along the I-4 corridor, all displayed on billboards throughout the city of Orlando. In addition to having their art printed and displayed on a billboard in the city, Berry, Cody-Rapport, and Simmons’ work will appear in rotating displays on digital billboards through January 2023.
The Downtown Arts District worked with Pat Greene, founder of The Corridor Project, to select artists and artwork for this exhibition. Eleven artists were pre-selected by Greene, while the remaining 19 artists were chosen through an open call facilitated by the Downtown Arts District.
