About Rollins


Rollins is a private liberal arts institution located in Winter Park, Florida, and is devoted to the mission of “liberally educating students to be global citizens and responsible leaders.”  In addition to being one of the most highly ranked schools in the South for two decades, Rollins is home to several cultural and academic programs, including Winter with the Writers, the Bach Festival, and the Winter Park Institute.

Getting Here


Rollins College is located at 1000 Holt Ave. Winter Park, FL 32789.  You can get directions from Google Maps here.

Airports

Orlando is served by two international airports, Orlando International and Orlando-Sanford International.  Both airports have taxis and rental car services available.


Transportation

If you are staying at a hotel that isn't close to campus and don't have a car, there are a few transportation options available in the area.


Hotels

Participants are asked to make their own arrangements at the hotel of their choice. Conference guests have several options for rooms just minutes from campus. The closest option, the Alfond Inn, is a 3-minute walk from Rollins College. This sophisticated hotel is also a 5-minute walk from the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens and 11 minutes from the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. If you drive to campus, parking is available in the parking garage, located across the street from campus. If you are driving to the conference, parking for the day in the Suntrust Parking Garage will cost a maximum of $8.00 ($10.00 if you lose your ticket).

ADA Accessible parking is available in the garage and at these locations on campus. The library has assistive software on some of its terminals, including a screen reader, magnifier, and text-to-speech software.

Facilities & Services


The campus facilities include the Olin Library, the Rollins Museum of Art, Tiedtke Concert Hall, the Alfond Sports Center, and various educational and residential buildings.
Rollins also has a full-service post office available to attendees.

Library

Olin Library will offer conference participants access to its collection, computer labs, and facility for the duration of the conference. Workshops and classes will be housed in the library.

The library has private and group study rooms on two floors, as well as a lounge, a tower study room with a view of the campus and lake, and four computer labs (including a Mac lab). 

If you require research assistance, our librarians are available for research help in person or via chat, e-mail, and phone.

A full range of the library's research databases are listed on their website, and you can search the materials they have available for checkout via their search service.


Internet Access & Tech Support

Wireless access will be provided on campus during the Conference; details on connecting to the campus wireless network will be in the information packet you will receive during check-in.

In addition to the ones in the library, there are several other computer labs available on campus.
