Student Awards & Honor Society

The Department of Business recognizes outstanding Business Management and International Business majors gradutates during our gradutaion lunch and celebration.  During this event, we also initiatiate qualifying juniors and seniors who have accepted invitations to join Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Buisness Honor Society.

Beta Gamma Sigma

Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for AACSB-accredited schools, which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world. Inducted as students, BGS members go on to serve in critical leadership roles in corporate, entrepreneurial, government, non-profit, and academic sectors. Members currently reside in all 50 U. S. states and more than 190 countries. Notable members include Nobel Prize winners, Olympians, inventors, CEOs of major global companies and nonprofit organizations, deans of the top business schools, and others who are making the world a better place at all levels of contribution through social enterprise, service, and leadership. Beta Gamma Sigma is a proud member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).

Michele Boulanger International Travel Award

Professor Boulanger joined the Department of International Business following a distinguished career in business and industry at Bell Labs, Motorola, and her personal consulting company JISC-Statistics. Aside from extensive international work in her employment, she was active in International Standards, serving as Chair of ISO TC69 on Statistical Standards for 2011-2019. Born and raised in France, Michèle loved Rollins College and was deeply committed to the intellectual growth of her students. T

This award is intended to extend her legacy that was curtailed January 17, 2019, due to respiratory failure from ALS.  The award is to be given annually to an INB major, with at least sophomore status, having outstanding classroom performance in the INB program (ideally in the quantitative, data science-oriented courses) to assist with their international travel requirements.

Excellence in Business Management

The Award for Exellence in Business Management is awarded each year to select graduating seniors (CLA and Holt) who have demonstrated the most outstanding academic achievement and made the best intellectual contribution to the major in Business Management.  

Excellence in International Business

Award for Excellence in International Business is awarded each year to select seniors who have demonstrated the most outstanding academic achievement and made the best intellectual contribution to the major in International Business.
