WOW Spotlight: Travis & Alexa Ray

On December 14, the Service Excellence Team recognized Alexa and Travis Ray with a Big Wow award for their ongoing acts of generosity and service, including hosting students for holiday dinners and celebrations in their home, providing groceries to a student in need, and helping lead efforts to raise money for a colleague in need.

Above & Beyond

After moving the entire Hamilton Holt School and setting up multiple events in one week, it’s clear that the current transport team—Jerome Brown, Khris Lewis, and Ramon Robledo—is a band of on-the-ball men who tackle each job with a great attitude and cheetah-like speed.

To: Service Excellence and HR
This WOW is to the team(s) that put on the Faculty and Staff Holiday gathering on December 21st in the Boathouse. I, unfortunately do not know a single person to recognize by name that was involved so I am hoping this will get to those people.
First off, I want to acknowledge the person whose idea it was to do something different for the event - I thought it was a great change! It made for great socializing with people on campus rather than just those sitting at your table in the past years events. Also, the choice to do appetizers and cookie decorating was a great one as this also facilitated getting up and seeing/ meeting fellow employees. I saw coworkers I hadn't seen in a while or met a new person getting food, decorating a cookie, grading the trivia card, writing a holiday card for the Mayflower residents and when I won a raffle item!
The decorations and setup for the event and the food choices and food itself were all awesome! Facilities and catering really did an amazing job on this.
I know the last thing many people in the departments that put on this event want to do before break is work on another event so I want to say Thank You to all of them.
Just overall can't say enough about how nice I thought this event was and also heard many of my fellow Crummer employees say the same. It was a great way to start the holiday break. Thank you again.

To: Kelsey Uhl
I was trying to navigate a new email system platform (iModules) and I *thought* I successfully completed all of the steps for a high-level email to donors, alumni, parents, and friends of the College. Thankfully, Kelsey also logged into the system, saw my pending email, and noticed that I left out a couple of critical elements. She notified me right away and shared some wisdom about her experience working in the new area of our less-than-intuitive system. Kelsey and I work on different teams, and I'm so thankful she took the time and energy to make sure my first email from our new system is a success.

Joe provided me with a full tour of Rollins yesterday and truly exemplified extraordinary customer service and superior knowledge of Rollins College. He was patient with my many questions and polite to students and staff. Rollins is fortunate to have such an employee. Thank you, Joe! I appreciate you for taking the time to educate me on the history and culture of this fine college.

Not only does she have a wonderful attitude and demeanor, but she goes the extra mile to ensure that the product she's creating is perfect! Not only did she get them printed, but offered her expertise in the process, with grace and patience! Thank You!

Since my first day at Rollins on the Alumni Engagement team, Chelsea has gone above and beyond to help me with anything and everything in regards to my onboarding. She is always there to answer any questions and has made sure I have access to everything I need in order to successfully do my job. She has taken so much time out of her incredibly busy schedule and workload to train me in various programs and give me background on multiple projects and events. She is kind and has great sense of humor-I truly enjoy working with her and appreciate her so much. She has taken on so much extra work while the team has been understaffed and hiring for multiple positions, and I admire her so much. Thank you so much, Chelsea!

Chelsea was a wonderful thought partner with regard to the alumni portion of Vespers. We decided to change the way alumni acquire tickets this year and it took some mental gymnastics to figure out how to shift all of the ticketing to the Rollins Box Office. Chelsea made it a very smooth transition. I have heard from many alumni that booking tickets with her was such an enjoyable interaction and I don't doubt it. I am so thankful for Chelsea serving as a representative of Rollins to our alumni community because I know she is always informed, warm, and thoughtful. She does a lot to make our work with alumni easy!

Claudia is very responsive and collaborative, always helping me when asked. To: Nancy Rodriguez
Day in and day out Nancy goes above and beyond in helping students, staff and faculty, however she has specifically helped me many times when I have been in a crunch. Just this month a refrigerator was left behind the facilities building with the doors still on it. This is a major safety issues as a child or animal could get trapped inside. This was brought to my attention 10 minutes before 5pm and I was unable to move it on my own. Nancy heard me calling for assistance over the radio and she immediately came up to help me. She brought a dolly with her however we were still not able to move it, I told her to leave since now it was after 5pm but she insisted on staying with me until we came up with a solution. That's the type of person Nancy is, she is a team player, loyal and extremely hardworking. Eventually we found another employee to help us move it indoor for the night. I am always grateful for Nancy and I truly believe she makes Rollins a better place to work and to learn.

To: Hume House CDC Staff
The CDC teachers (Diane Doyle, Caitlin Strickland, Ashton Marshall, Lauren Duhon, Nayeli Brown, Ellen Atkins, Michelle Gelfert, Holly Allport, and Corissa Raymond) are everyday heroes who take care of and nurture the development of preschool children on this campus, all the while supporting the learning and growth of undergraduate students. Earlier in September when we had a 'shelter in place' emergency that lasted for almost 2 hours, these teachers (along with several dedicated work study students) did not skip a beat as they led the children to a safe place and kept them entertained for the duration of the period. As Chair of the Psychology department, a member of the CDC staff, and mom to one of the CDC preschoolers, I am incredibly grateful to call these women my colleagues, my daughter's teachers, and my friends. Thank you for all you do to make the Rollins CDC at Hume House a welcoming and inclusive place!

To: M Cristina Smith
Cristina helped me solve a problem that was going round and round without a solution. I needed to have student meal tickets to the campus center for lunches with faculty candidates. HR no longer provides the meal tickets and the suggestion to go over with the students at the time of their lunch meetings with candidates was not feasible. Cristina offered to make up the meal tickets herself and sell them to me in advance. I was able to use my P-Card to pay for them and then allocate the expense to HR on Chrome River. Such an easy solution! This will make faculty searches so much easier for department admins on campus! Cristina is responsive, respectful, more-than-competent, and very collaborative. I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate her!

To: Lovelyn Findley
In just two short months since joining Crummer's Alumni Relations department, Lovelyn has been working tirelessly with the successful execution of an offsite board retreat, a regular board meeting, three remote city club events, and just last week, the highly complex Oktoberfest annual scholarship fundraiser.

With respect to the Oktoberfest event, Lovelyn coordinated volunteers from multiple departments, secured and trained our guest servers, interfaced with marketing, closed several corporate sponsorships and auction items, and pretty much kept all of us in line before, during and after the event.

I'm so appreciative of Lovelyn's can-do attitude as she has taken on the Program Manager role for Alumni Relations. Along with her recently relocated manager, Michael Brown, our alums are in great hands with our newly revitalized team.

Meredith and I collaborate every year on classroom visits for my transfer students. This morning, when another guest speaker was sick, Meredith stepped up not only to deliver her own content, but also covered relevant material for all offices in the Community Alignment without missing a beat. To: Tysheika Fisher
Tysheika is helping us coordinate a redesign of the Carnegie transactional hub lobby to provide a better service experience for students. Within a few days of our initial request, she had already visited our space, made suggestions, and arranged for installers to come do the first stage of our furniture redesign. The project is still underway, and she is proactively communicating with our team about next steps and timelines. She has handled our offices' (often conflicting and ever changing) demands with all the pillars of service excellence--responsive, respectful, collaborative, and competent. Thank you Tysheika!

I have had the opportunity to work with the Office of the Bursar's team to help advise students and their parents through some very difficult decisions and I was so proud of how the Bursar's Office staff worked with these students and their families all the while having to remind them of their bill. They did a great job listening to each student's crisis and providing advisement on alternative payment options. They provide compassion and empathy in their work. Thank you, Office of the Bursar!

To: Cliff Manspeaker
With the recent new branding that went live a little over a month ago now, I had been reaching out to Cliff with multiple questions and requests for assistance. I was continuously emailing and calling him to help with different tasks: redesigning our welcome email to hew hires, uploading the new logo to all communication templates, ensuring our colors on the website match the external side and identifying any other areas that needed to be updated. I am sure that I was not only one reaching out to him directly asking for assistance so that is why I want to recognize him. He went above in his communications with me, kept me informed of where he was at during the project and provided guidance as to what we can expect. He collaborated with others from his team to sure our site was updated quickly and was there to meet and fix anything we could not do over the phone. Thank you Cliff (and team) for making this transition seamless and continuing to keep us updated as new edits rollout. You are always a pleasure to work with!!

To: Udeth Lugo
I was in the Campus Center yesterday when I ran into Udeth having lunch with a former Upward Bound student named Cedric Gaskin. Cedric graduated from Upward Bound in the late 80s. He currently lives in Tampa and was visiting Orlando because of his job. Cedric spoke to me about his time in Upward Bound Program. He shared with me that Udeth was a significant influence in his life and “is where he is today because of Udeth and his support.” His face was filled with joy and gratitude. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to meet many Upward Bound alumni who share the same words of love and affirmation for “Mr. Lugo.” Udeth has touched the lives of thousands of children through Upward Bound who have grown up and made the world a better place. His commitment and care of young people on their journey through life has been such an inspiration!

Last week during our shelter in place incident, Gaby had already clocked out for the day and was headed to class. When the alert was sent out, Gaby grabbed nearby students and told them to follow her, and led them back towards the CCLP so that she and the students were safe. Sharon kindly and gently sat down with me to show me how to use one of the campus programs/online systems that I was struggling with. She has more important things to do with her time, but she came up to my office, sat beside me, and walked me through it. She even made a phone call to find out what to do in a situation we were uncertain about. She was so understanding and patient with my confusion. The best part is that she took the time to teach me, rather than just fixing it herself. Thank you, Sharon!

I want to thank Matthew for being collaborative and competent during IPA training! After he attended a training session through the CLCE office, he took the skills that he gained from that training and led a successful session during the International Peer Advisor training. He had great command of the of the group and did a fantastic job facilitating the various activities and debrief. He continuously tied the activity to the International Peer Advisor role, which allowed the students to gain a deeper sense of what leadership and team work is all about. To: Richard Kopatich,Gilbert Franqui & Paolo Cabezas
Every year we have tons of work orders in to fix and paint and hang etc. throughout the Bush Science Building. Rick and Gil did an excellent job repairing and painting the walls in all the areas we were concerned with and other areas we were not aware of. Their work ethic a long with the years of experience made completing the task look easy. My faculty and the staff in the building were impressed and appreciative. Pablo on the other hand was asked to hang faculty white boards! I have to say my faculty were very happy with the finished product. I do have some very finicky people and I am so pleased to report they have had nothing but good things to say about the jobs. These employees were very professional and listened when presented with "complaints" about the walls that needed painting/repairs and when concerns were raised about the positioning of the white boards. Thank you!

Gill's hard work really shines through and it's obvious he has been a painter a long time, with his attention to details. He always let us know his time frame in prep and what to expect next. He worked around us with respect to our time and personal space. The office looks so much better now that there are no holes in the walls and freshly painted. In our brief conversations while the paint was drying, I found out Gill was currently attending CRUMMER GRADUATE SCHOOL and I am impressed with the way he is motivated and focused, to work full time and achieve personal goals.

And most importantly, our students are having a greatly improved experience as shown by positive comments on our surveys. Her checklist allows the students to quickly see what tasks they have completed and what remains outstanding. We have appreciated that Doug always makes himself a resource in providing guidance on print jobs. Recently, he noticed that the file for a print job would produce an inferior result and gave us time to provide a replacement file which shortened his window to finish the job. Not only was the job finished in record time on a Monday morning, but he personally delivered it to our offices while also turning around an additional poster job. His efforts made us look good in front of our custom client. This is only one time, but it is certainly representative of our many interactions with Doug. I know it is longer than two minutes, but I do have to say Teddy is quick! We are also very appreciative of the hard work he did this summer adding locks to all of our classroom doors. Guil is a valuable asset to the Rollins Family. He takes his job (and craft) seriously. We needed two metal shelves cut down to fit into a smaller space and Guil did a beautiful job! The shelves were placed perfectly. Those are not the only shelves Guil has installed. He hung shelves in an empty closet, hence making the space usable for storage. The faculty in the division were also very happy with the poster strips he hung. Our faculty can be very particular on how things are done. I have heard nothing but good reports about Guil and his handiwork! Please let him know how much his work is appreciated

Teddy is extremely responsive to our multiple and frequent requests for new keys, rekeyed doors, malfunctioning locks, etc. in the Bush Science Center. He normally handles our requests immediately, but if he happens to be off for the day, he still replies by email or phone to let us know why a job won't be done until the next day. He knows his stuff too. He always seems to know exactly what the problem is and how to fix it. To my delight, Judy and Sarah volunteered to get the funds entered. Some of the funds had to be re-coded after I checked them and Sarah responded within hours of me finding the discrepancies. Our Post Office operation is going through a significant change in operation by implementing new tracking and notification software to better serve our students. I never anticipated how much I would require the assistance of Mark to aid in the process of creating files that could be uploaded so the system had an accurate directory to pull from on a daily / weekly basis. Mark has been a huge factor, whether he recognizes that or not, in making sure that this transition is a successful one. The time he has spent working with NeoPost (our vendor) to make sure that the files are correct and that the uploads are successful far exceed my expectations. For a project that wasn't on his radar for this summer, he stepped in without hesitation, and has truly put forth a high level of service excellence in my opinion. His ability to collaborate with all parties involved, will make our new Post Office experience a great one for the students when complete.

Donna is the epitome of someone who always walks the extra mile to assist our families. Today, she sat and worked through a difficult procedure with one of our student's mom. Mom was very nervous and felt inadequate in using the electronic processes included in filing for federal aid. Donna stayed by her side and helped her every inch of the way. Donna is a dedicated and compassionate member of our team, and I am proud of the friendly and helpful service she provides every single day! First of all I have to say Marguerite is awesome at her job! My son attends Rollins and my daughter is in a university back in ND. Needless to say working with Marguerite throughout the verification process was painless, quick and very informative. Unlike the issues that I have been dealing with at my daughter's school. I even had to use the knowledge Marguerite gave me, to correct them and was FINALLY able to get my daughters verification processed & completed. The whole Financial Aid department is great, but I would have been lost without Marguerite! Thanks again - YOU ROCK!!

In the Warren basement, our offices have been freezing for weeks. I put in a ticket to have the problem looked at on Thursday, April 19th. I received emails indicating that the ticket was issued and then completed with the note from the technician (who was not Jason) saying that the thermostat was turned up to 74 degrees. When I arrived to work on Monday morning, the office was even colder than before. After calling facilities, Jason came over and took the time to isolate the problem, figure out a solution and work to resolve it so that we didn't have 55 degree air pumping into out offices nonstop. He showed genuine concern for our issue and took steps to not only fix it, he let us know that he cared. He is definitely an asset to his department and this campus.

About two weeks ago, Eric and Luis first came to the apartment to hang our patio lights. They helped us plan the best layout and then speedily and professionally strung them to illuminate our patio. Last Thursday, we found one of the strings had been shorn through. David asked Eric to stop by the Ward Faculty Apartment to repair this string of patio lights, and Eric came by that same day and expertly repaired the lights. We assumed we would have to replace the entire string, so we were delighted to find them rehung and functioning as if nothing has happened. Thank you, Eric, David, and Luis! Thank YOU, Travis!

In the computer labs, she even sprays every keyboard with compressed air to clean the keys. This is a lot of work in addition to that she also cleans the fourth floor which consists of multiple tables and study carrels, the tower room, and the pillow room which are highly used areas. Gloria prides herself on having a clean space and she works hard to do so without ever complaining. And when the library is open 24 hours there is a lot to clean including leftover food around the library. Vefi does this and so much more and she does it with a smile and friendly personality. She scrubs the metal wall covering under the water fountain, the metal of the elevator including the outside floorboard, all the windows and baseboards and floorboards. Each location necessitated collaborating with the Rollins electricians. We worked specifically with Eric and Luis. I am thankful and proud to call both of them colleagues at Rollins. When we scheduled and planned electrical related work, Eric and Luis were always ready to go on time. And when work commenced, they were efficient in getting it done. They graciously jumped at the task at hand and responded quickly. I have a lot of confidence in Eric and Luis and appreciate the competence and professionalism they bring to their work. Ramon did an excellent job in the Psychology Department common area with cleaning our carpets. They look just as good now than they did when we moved in over 3 years ago. He also made sure everyone was not allergic to strong smell of cleaning. He realized that he needed to have it done quickly, as students would be coming back soon. So he got it done on Friday afternoon!!! I am sure he and all of Facilities have been super busy and and short handed. We appreciate all they do to get our campus ready for this Fall Semester!! GREAT JOB!! All the time with a SMILE on their face!

Saturday morning during the loading of buses at SPARC Day, Julie noticed that a student didn't have closed toed shoes for her community service project. It was a requirement to get onto the bus. Not missing a beat, Julie literally gave the student the shoes off her feet! Julie consistently goes above and beyond for students across campus and this is just one more selfless way she continues to exude service excellence. Not to mention that Julie didn't slow down during the morning shift of loading the buses and cheering on the students while working in the parking lot in her bare feet. Responsive and Respectful are clearly evident with Julie.

Recently there was a water outage in the Bush Science Building, which might have compromised the animals in the rodent colony. However, several years ago Kevin Miraglia wisely instituted a plan to keep an emergency supply of water on site which served us well during the water outage. This is just one example of Kevin's excellence in contingency planning.

I've had a pleasure to be a part of Julia' class Career & Life Planning. Great class, great instructor. Thanks to Julia's teaching style, the class was very dynamic and inspiring; she was always available for assistance, if needed. Everything that was taught in the class is invaluable, from resume writing to searching and applying for jobs, etc.; the acquired knowledge serves as a natural addition to (or an extension of) my previous (years long) experience. Julia even brought together a panel, which consisted of several professionals, to discuss and investigate various career options. This class should be built-in in all majors at Rollins/Holt, as it prepares students for a life-after-the college.
On several occasions, Julia was very helpful to me even after the course ended. Thanks, Julia!

I am certain the Summer Shuffle created numerous requests for follow-up maintenance, repairs, relocations, etc. I submitted a request in June and followed up in August to see where I might be in the que. Jorge Ramirez was assigned to take care of the installation of a keyboard desk pull out. Unfortunately, I was off-campus when he began trying to connect with me. He tried several times and we finally worked out things today. My timing was off. I called and was then out of the office - it could have been a big source of frustration but he patiently persisted to get the job done. I appreciate his diligent work ethic and helpful attitude. Thanks, Jorge.

Skip is a wonderful person to work with. He is a professional individual who is responsive and competent in his role and responsibilities, and always available to help or explain when I call. Not only did he get it installed, but he did it sooner than expected. Skip and his team are always there for me and my team when we call. His dedication and service to Rollins and his co-workers, is an example for others to follow. I very much appreciate his help and time.

Sandra was working in Crummer on the bottom floor when she recognized a person from outside of the campus community that we believed was involved in several thefts on campus. We had video of this person stealing from a Duke TIPS camper, taking food from an orientation session, and casing offices on the 3rd floor of Crummer. Sandra quickly notified Campus Safety and senior leadership at Crummer, allowing for a very fast response. Ultimately, Campus Safety confronted the person, who had no business on campus and was in the process of stealing items from the student lounge. We contacted WPPD and we learned that the person was on probation and had two active warrants. He was trespassed and arrested. We appreciate Sandra's attention and willingness to help ensure that we maintain a safe and secure campus community.

I encountered a few issues with classroom technology that needed to be resolved quickly before a student orientation. Nour promptly responded to emails while he was on vacation overseas so that we could quickly resolve one issue. When he returned from vacation, he collaborated with another colleague to test, troubleshoot, and resolve audio issues in a classroom which ultimately improved the audio quality for students. When my team encountered an issue with a new technology tool, we sent him an email after our meeting ended just after 5 pm to notify him of the issue. Nour drove over to campus after hours to try and assist us before we left. He is extremely responsive. He thoroughly investigates issues to get to the bottom of them and is always very positive and collaborative when doing so. Thank you for your excellent service, Nour!

Aaron is ready, at a moment's notice, to help out wherever he can. This morning he helped the one Facilities staff person who came to pick up the 100+ boxes of books to be delivered to the warehouse. This is very "behind the scenes" work that is hardly noticed by those that enter through the back door of the Library. These boxes are heavy and hard to move around. He helped put them on a dolly, wheel them over to the truck and heave them onto the truck bed. He did it with his helpful spirit and a big smile, never complaining. By doing this, he exhibits care and collaboration with two departments and strength! I am so honored to work together with him to represent Olin in the best light!

The HR team was part of the recent "summer shuffle" to relocate offices. Jordan was assigned to assist us with our I.T. needs. He has always been accommodating to all of our requests and needs, but as we had not moved offices recently we had many questions and concerns. Jordan took the time to come meet personally, answer every question and assure us that everyone would be able to log on by Monday after the move was completed. He then went further to offer his assistance in breaking down and packing our computers, monitors, phones, etc. the day of the move. All of our equipment made it to our offices and we were all able to log on this past Monday, due in large part to Jordan coming in on Saturday to start the process. He then returned on Monday after everyone had logged on to complete connecting us to our new printer. Through it all he was accessible and accommodating to everything we requested or needed. A big THANK YOU to Jordan from our entire team!

I want it to be known that Larry, without a partner to help carry the workload for the last few months, has worked hard at continuously providing excellent service for the IT Department. The Central Receiving Warehouse is an essential component to the operations of this college, without the staff of this service, the college would have a very difficult time in providing the amazing experience it is known to provide. Larry carried the weight of two people and for that I'm grateful. I'm grateful for the great working relationship I have with him. Instead of leaving after I’m sure was a long day at Rollins, she took the time to round up umbrellas and trash bags and personally shuttle a group of students to her car which was parked nearby. Tom has once again gone out of his way to help me and my department out. Tom often helps us, and in many ways. If he sees we are struggling with something, he jumps in with another set of hands; If he sees we need help with the forklift or tractor, he jumps right on it and comes over to assist. As you may have noticed, I said he sees a situation and responds, he does not wait to be asked for help, he responds to a need when he identifies it. The most recent example was yesterday. He saw us unloading a crate, so he grabbed the forklift and helped us transport it to where it need to go. When I came back to clean up the trash from uncrating the load, Tom had already taken care of it! Thanks Tom!!

Several hotels the College reserves for candidates coming to campus for interviews, were charging sales and tourist tax on their final invoices to the College. This caused follow up with the hotels, providing the College Tax Exempt Certificate and then continuing to monitor the situation until a credit was issued. Upon request, Tysheika contacted each hotel (17 of them!) and provided them all with the College Tax Exempt Certificate to keep on file. This will be such a benefit to the departments making the initial reservation as now no matter who within the department makes the reservation, the Certificate will already be on file which ultimately saves the College money on sales and tourists taxes inadvertently charged! Thanks again Tysheika!

Recently, Katie quickly helped me resolve a time sensitive Banner issue. Although we discovered the situation was not pertaining to IT set up, Katie provided assistance by reaching out to Ellucian and forwarding their suggested solution. She also assisted with an update to FoxLink language in real time, which resolved our issue. Thanks, Katie!

To: Heather Wilson
Heather Wilson has gone above and beyond in assisting a student with a serious health concern by meeting with her and her family on a Saturday and giving a complete tour of the dining options on campus. Heather has shown a great deal of care and concern in honoring the students' needs and offering many individualized choices through the personal shopper service. She has demonstrated service excellence through making dining on campus an enjoyable and accessible experience for this student.

To: Francisco Alvarez & Alvaro Correa
Francisco and Alvaro came to the Wellness Center to empty the trash but went above and beyond what they came to do by vacuuming the floors, removing old books that had been stored for a long time, and hauling away heavy furniture. They both were pleasant and cooperative while working efficiently to get the job done. The Wellness Center would like to thank them both for exemplifying Service Excellence!

To: David Markland, Jackie Smith, Pablo Cabezas & Jorge Ramirez
I wanted to thank Jorge, Pablo, David and Jackie for really helping myself/Print Services. You went above and beyond, and I appreciate it so much! A banner for an event that was happening next day never arrived. We scrambled to get it printed, and this team agreed for it to be hung before the conference arrived on campus! Thank you for being responsive to our last minute request! It is so appreciated all that you do!

To: Doug Shell
My office needed to get tax documents out to students in a hurry but unfortunately our folder started giving us fits that morning. Doug immediately offered to handle them for us. He personally picked them up from our office. Once the job was completed, he personally delivered them to the campus Post Office for us! It really saved us a ton of time and ensured the students received their tax documents well before the deadline. This commitment to service was a way above & beyond and such a help to me personally. Thank you, Doug and the Office of Print Services!

To: Larry Barrett
Larry does an excellent job with the campus mail. He is friendly and accommodating. Today - he went beyond delivering mail and delivered me! I was late and didn't know where the loading dock for the campus center was - he happened to be delivering the mail and was extremely busy with the start of the semester. He gave me a ride to where I needed to be so I was on time. Many thanks!

To: Bay Rodriguez
Bay works with me on the R-share automated contract forms. Bay has been so responsive to my requests. There has not been a time when I have requested assistance and within 24 hours he has responded and fixed the problem. If a member of the community is having a problem submitting a contract Bay is right there to help. He migrated the process without any disruption to a new platform and it is working smoothly. He has made many suggestions to improve the process. He has been a pleasure to work with. Thank you for all you do.

To: Susan Curran
I email Susan on a daily basis, and I basically send her problems with records, some very complicated by years of neglect. Sometimes I actually cringe when I send the fifth problem in a single day, but she has never failed to respond in a manner that was anything other than supportive, approachable, courteous, respectful, and collaborative. Many times she has responded when she was off work, home sick or otherwise occupied, even when I assured her there was no rush. She is incredibly competent, and is a font of patience and information related to data, procedures, and the history of all things Rollins, and treats every email as a chance to teach or learn (the highlight of my week was when I she took an idea from me!). This is all while balancing the integrity of data with the bigger picture of solving procedural problems, while keeping in mind the needs of both the end user and the institution. She is a consummate professional with a wonderful sense of humor, and I am grateful for her help and guidance. Thank you Susan Curran, Queen of Banner!

To: Teddy Tirado
Teddy has always been available to meet our office needs. We have needed new doorknobs, copies of keys made, and knobs/keys replaced various times throughout the last few semesters for our entire floor.Teddy has always been incredibly quick to respond, usually getting it done within 24 hours. He's very detail-oriented and has always been around to answer all of our questions. He's super polite and respectful - just an absolute joy to work with. We never worry when we need to work with Teddy, because we know it'll be quick, easy, and completed well.

I have recently been working with Jennifer on facilitating the Smart Dollar program made available through the Wellness Committee. Jennifer has been an amazing facilitator and is always ready to jump in where needed. I can tell the group enjoys Jennifer and he contributions to the discussion. I appreciate Jennifer's efforts covering several sessions for me in my absence. Jennifer never complains, and always demonstrates a willingness to make things happen! To: Katie Shiver
Katie Shiver is an incredible resource for all Blackboard and WebEx support questions. She helped me through some Blackboard inquiries, always accessible and ready to help while expressing her happiness to assist, and recently stopped by to help me launch a WebEx session and stayed until we got off the ground. She is a tremendous asset to Rollins and is always a joy to work with!

To: Karen Crain
Although relatively new to Rollins, Karen has jumped right in with the R-Wellness team. She has helped facilitate the weigh ins and outs for the Maintain, Don't Gain program, and made herself available to help as needed, even early in the morning. She has also helped launch the Weight Watchers at Work program on campus, which has quickly generated interest. I have already heard positive feedback from those who have worked with Karen and her positive approach to wellness. She is such an asset to not only the R-Wellness Committee, but also to the Rollins community!
