Fall Orientation

Orientation is your key to get familiar with campus; meet your classmates and student leaders; and connect with the academic, social, and co-curricular life at Rollins.

About Orientation

The Residential Life & Explorations team wants you to start the year comfortable on campus and ready to begin your new adventure. Although it is difficult to imagine what to expect the first few weeks of college, Orientation will prepare you for the rest of your time at Rollins.

You will explore campus, meet new students, and familiarize yourself with the wide variety of academic resources and student activities on campus. 

It may seem overwhelming at first, but in no time you will be able to find your way around with first-hand knowledge of the possibilities available to you. Take advantage of all Rollins has to offer; this is how your education will take shape. We encourage you to get off to a good start by fully participating in the Orientation program.

Welcome Week Fall 2022

We look forward to meeting you at Welcome Week: Fall Orientation. All new and transfer students are required to attend Welcome Week. See below for more information. Please check back later for a Full Schedule of events for Welcome Week: Move In & Orientation!

Monday, August 15: International New Student Move-In
All new international students will move in on campus on Monday, August 15 and participate in a special international student orientation on August 16 and 17.

Tuesday, August 16 & Wednesday, August 17: Domestic New Student Move-In
All new domestic students living on campus will move in on either Tuesday, August 16 or Wednesday, August 17. You will receive your specific move-in day in July when you receive your housing assignment. On your move-in day, we will host an in-person welcome for students and families, followed by a special reception for families. Keep an eye out for more details as it gets closer.

Thursday, August 18: Commuter Check-In
All first-year and transfer commuter students are required to check-in on campus and attend new student orientation. You will receive more details and directions to check-in when it gets closer.

Thursday, August 18 through Sunday, August 21: New Student Orientation
Through this mandatory orientation, you'll start getting acclimated to Rollins, meet new friends and mentors, and start creating your new home-away-from-home.

Monday, August 22: Convocation & First Day of Class
Convocation will mark your formal matriculation into the Rollins academic community. This ceremony is where every new student starts their Rollins academic journey, and then you'll head to the first class of your collegiate career.

Family Schedule

Welcome Week Fall 2022

We look forward to Welcome Week: Fall Orientation. All new and transfer students are required to attend Welcome Week. Families are not required to attend Orientation, however we will have family-specific programs that we hope you can make it to. Saturday, August 6: Virtual Parent & Family Orientation
This is your family's chance to hear from members of the Rollins community and meet with your future professors. You and your family will receive more details on how to attend virtually from home as we get closer.
