From Peg Cornwell, Associate to the President for College and Community Relations

Happy New Year! I hope many of you had a chance to spend time with your students over the holiday and that they are ready to return to campus. January marks the beginning of a new semester and the time to engage in new course material and explore the Gateway programs at Rollins.

Next academic year's peer educator applications open in January, as well as recruitment to join a sorority or fraternity. Students can also sign up for Immersion experiences, consider applying to study aboard next year, and learn about housing options, among a multitude of other opportunities. As always, we encourage your students to engage in regular exercise, healthy eating, and habits that promote mental wellness. More information about these resources is linked below.

As President Cornwell and I embark on our last semester at Rollins, we are delighted to welcome our 16th president Dr. Brooke Barnett, and her husband Tom Mould to campus on July 1, 2025.

We hope all students have a productive and meaningful semester at Rollins.

Campus Spotlight: Theatre & Dance

The Department of Theatre & Dance stages an exciting season of musicals, plays, and dance concerts featuring student artists, with all performances open to the public. Shows are in the Annie Russell Theatre, the longest continuously operating theater in Florida, and inside the stunning new Tiedtke Theatre and Dance Centre. Students from across campus are invited to take part on stage and backstage.

This spring at the Annie Russell, do not miss the harrowing existential comedy of Everybody, a Pulitzer-finalist in which roles are assigned by lottery, and Carrie: The Musical, the horror classic set to an electrifying score. In the Sally K. Albrecht Studio Theatre inside the Tiedtke Theatre & Dance Centre, enjoy the student-directed Lost Girl, about Wendy-after-Peter-Pan, and Nowheresville, written by a Rollins student about grief and love in a small town. The department also explores the theme of satiation at the Enough Dance Concert and celebrates 20 years of Rollins Improv Players during Alumni Weekend. Parents, family, and friends interested in supporting Theatre and Dance are invited to join the Annie Russell Theatre Guild volunteer group.
