The Start of Your #RollinsLife

Welcome Week is the kick off to your Rollins College experience. Orientation will help you get familiar with campus, connect you to other new Tars, and introduce you to our mission of global citizenship and responsible leadership.

Welcome Week: Orientation

We are committed to giving you the tools you need to thrive at Rollins during your orientation. You will explore campus, meet new students, and familiarize yourself with the wide variety of academic resources and student activities on campus. In short, Welcome Week is the start of your #RollinsLife and we're here to help! Taking advantage of all Rollins has to offer starts in these first few days and we encourage you to get off to a good start by fully participating in Welcome Week activities.

Pre Arrival

Can't wait until August 22nd? Neither can we! We've included some FAQ's and helpful guidelines here to make sure your transition to Rollins is smooth sailing!

1. Am I ready to go? What do I need to complete before I get to Rollins?

  • The FoxLink checklist is a great place to start.
  • Complete your Course Preference Form and Housing application on FoxLink. You'll receive your tentative course schedule created by our faculty in late June and your housing assignment from Residential Life & Explorations in mid-July.

2. What should I bring to Rollins?

  • Residential Life & Explorations has a great list of suggested items compiled here.
  • Don't forget that Winter Park and the greater Orlando area has plenty of shopping options nearby, so don't worry if you forget something.

3. I have billing questions and want to pay my tuition. Who should I contact?

  • At Rollins, the Bursar manages your student account and billing information. You can reach them at 407-646-2252.
  • If you have questions that relate to your financial aid package, reach out to Financial Aid.

4. What else should I be doing this summer to prepare for college life?

  • Get immunized and send the Wellness Center your medical records.
  • Talk to your parents or guardians about expectations surrounding FERPA, your academic record, and living independently.
  • If you're living on campus, get in contact with your roommate to talk about what to bring.

Move-In

Our campus comes alive on Move-In Day!

  • Residence Halls open for move-in on Wednesday, August 22nd at 9:00 AM
  • Please come pick up your key and check-in with Residential Life & Explorations in McKean Hall.

Tips for a Tar-rific Move-In

  • We recommend wearing comfortable clothing (think work out clothes and tennis shoes) because you will sweat!
  • If you have a dolly or cart, we encourage you to bring it along for the day. We have a limited amount of dollies and carts to loan out at each residence hall, but the process will go faster if you plan ahead.
