Rollins has been ranked for the fifth consecutive year among the best schools in the nation for transfer students.

The College joins only 171 colleges and universities in its recognition on the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s 2022 Transfer Honor Roll, which acknowledges four-year institutions of higher education for creating dynamic pathways to support transfer students.

Phi Theta Kappa is the premier honor society recognizing the academic accomplishments of students at associate-degree-granting colleges and fostering their success as scholars and leaders.

Colleges were chosen for the Honor Roll based on their Transfer Friendliness Rating on PTK Connect, an online tool to help students find transfer opportunities, including scholarships and career pathways. The rating is based on 40 metrics, including a college’s admissions practices, cost of attendance, campus life, recruitment practices, and peer reviews. Only the top 25 percent highest-rated colleges were named to the 2022 Transfer Honor Roll.

“This award is so important because it is based on what students tell us they need from their transfer experience,” says Lynn Tincher-Ladner, president and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa. “We are honored to recognize the colleges and universities working exceptionally hard to create stronger pathways to bachelor’s degree completion for all students.”

PTK’s Honor Roll ranks Rollins in the 95th percentile among its peers for its college completion rate by transfer students, which is 90 percent, and on average, the College accepts 90 percent of credits from transfer institutions.

Rollins’ streamlined application process for transfer students allows them to be considered automatically for merit scholarships of up to $24,000 per year in addition to need-based aid. America’s most beautiful campus also offers unmatched personal attention from advisors, dedicated professors, small, discussion-based classes, and peer mentors to ensure that transfer students adapt and thrive.

“The PTK Honor Roll shows Rollins’ commitment to our transfer students,” says Brian Barilone, director of transfer and graduate admission. “The students engaged with PTK are high-achieving students who participate in service projects that make a positive impact on the institution where they’re earning their AA degree, and these achievements directly align with the Rollins mission.”

Business management major Selby Klanot ’25 credits the Rollins transfer-admission team with setting her up for success and is thankful for the access she has to real-world learning experiences and the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with her fellow students and professors and in the community.

“Transferring from Florida State University to Rollins was such a positive experience for me,” she says. “The supportive community is shaping me into a better person. I want to make an impact in the world, and I know I can do this every day with the skills Rollins is providing me.”
