Mark Anderson earned a doctorate in mathematics at the University of Virginia and a master's in computer science at the University of Central Florida. His research interest is in graph theory, preferably on the topological or algebraic side; his recreational interests include running, biking, hiking, reading, camping, kayaking, and an occasional mathematical haiku.
Sheri Boyd, Ph.D.

Sheri Boyd earned her M.A. and Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She has over 20 years of experience in the classroom, and joined the Rollins faculty in 2003. As a mother of special needs children, Boyd has a deep commitment to help students with disabilities. She strongly believes that all students can succeed given the opportunity and the right tools.
Rochelle Elva, Ph.D.

Rochelle Elva earned her Ph.D. at the University of Central Florida. Her Ph.D. research was in Semantic Software Clone Detection. Her other research interests include Software Quality Assurance, The Personal Software Process, Computer Science Education and Databases. When not on the computer, she enjoys building craft projects with the Cuttlebug, baking and cooking - especially experimenting with international cuisine.
Smruti Jani

Smruti is a mathematician, educator, dancer, choreographer, Embodiology® practitioner, grant writer, and certified health coach. She received her M.S. in Mathematics in 1993 from Kansas State University. Over the past 30 years, Smruti has taught a variety of courses including mathematics, statistics, and dance at several colleges in the US. Smruti is also currently working with Dr. S. Ama Wray’s Embodiology® methodology that originates from ancestral West African principles of human communication and performance practices where movement, language, and music combine. In 1993, Smruti began directing and producing dance concerts featuring her distinctive fusion of Classical Indian Dance (Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi, and Mohini Attam) and Contemporary dance internationally. She freelanced and collaborated during that time with artists in NY and abroad, and toured in the US, Germany, India, and Europe. Smruti enjoys martial arts (Kung Fu, Tai Chi), yoga, Chi Gung, reading, tutoring, hiking, and meditation.


Dan S. Myers, Ph.D.

Dan Myers received his Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with research interests in computer performance modeling and queueing theory. Prior to attending UW-Madison, he worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico, applying computer vision and image processing to national security problems. Dr. Myers enjoys playing old-time and gospel guitar: his playing has been featured in Frets magazine and he received first prize in the flatpicking guitar contest at the 2015 Florida Old-Time Music Championship.
Eunjung Noh, Ph.D.

Eunjung Noh is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Rollins College. Dr. Noh obtained her Ph.D. in applied mathematics at the University of Southern California. Her research interest is stochastic analysis and its applications to financial mathematics. More specifically, she has been working on problems in the general areas of equilibrium models, optimal transport, stochastic control theory, market frictions, and mean-field game. She has diverse teaching experience at Florida State University and Rutgers University.

Valerie Summet earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and her B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University. Her research interests include computer science education, Human-Computer Interaction, and Assistive Technology. In her spare time she quilts, reads, and watches Duke basketball games.

Zeynep Teymuroglu, Ph.D.

Zeynep Teymuroglu earned her Ph.D. at the University of Cincinnati. Her Ph.D. research was in applied and computational mathematics with an emphasis on mathematical biology. After graduation, she worked as an Associate Manager at the Research and Development department of a market research company. She also has her master's in mathematics with an emphasis on Financial Mathematics. Her research interests are mathematical biology, mathematical modeling, and financial mathematics. She teaches Calculus, Differential Equations, and Applied Mathematics courses.
Sirazum Tisha, Ph.D.

Sirazum Tisha earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Louisiana State University. Her research interest includes Automated Grading Systems, Computer Science Education and Curriculum Development, Machine Learning, 3D Modelling, Computer Graphics, and Video Game Design. During her leisure moments, she relishes traveling with her family.
Poroshat Yazdanbakhsh, Ph.D.

Poroshat Yazdanbakhsh obtained her Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the University of Central Florida in 2022. Her research focuses on mathematical biology, modeling, numerical analysis, and differential equations. During her leisure time, Poroshat takes pleasure in activities such as biking, reading, and watching documentaries.

Donata Nutter originally worked for Rollins from 1987-1994, first as Administrative Assistant for History and Political Science, and then as Executive Assistant to the Dean of Hamilton Holt School. While she pursued other career paths after leaving the college, she never stopped thinking about Rollins and wanting to return. She finally got her wish in October 2012, when she was hired by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Donata is thrilled to be back at Rollins!
