About Rachel
As a librarian and archivist at Olin Library, Rachel works with students from a variety of disciplines to support their overall research and learning. She is a graduate of the University of Florida where she received both her bachelor’s in History and Art History and a master’s in Latin American History. In 2015 she received her second masters in Library Science at UNC Chapel Hill, with a specialization in digital curation. Since that time, Rachel has served as the Librarian for the Art and Art History Department and as the College’s Digital Archivist. In her archives role, Rachel acquires, preserves, and provides access to digital resources of long-term significance. This includes, but is not limited to, digitized materials related to the history of the College, the published and unpublished work of its faculty and students, and any administrative records that merit long term retention. Rachel’s professional research interests include website usability, research data management, and digital humanities. She is an active member of the Society of Florida Archivists, the Society of American Archivists, and the Florida Digital Humanities Consortium. When she’s not working, Rachel likes sipping cappuccinos, planning her next road trip with her husband, and getting out in the Florida sunshine with her French bulldog, Jackie.
