Center for Leadership & Community Engagement

Annual Events

The Center for Leadership & Community Engagement has a wide variety of initiatives created to better integrate students, staff, and faculty within the broader community. Below are a few of our top events and programs.

Challenge yourself

The annual SPARC day event is designed to ignite interest and passion in the newest members of the Rollins community.

SPARC Day of Service

SPARC (Service, Passion, Action, Rollins College) is a day of service and education for all incoming first year and transfer students. SPARC is meant to ignite interest and passion in the Rollins community, encourage reflection, and prompt critical thinking about the issues facing our communities. SPARC, which is held during Orientation Week, challenges students to engage as active participants in creating a life of citizenship, leadership, and action that starts in their first semester.

Community Common Hour on the Lawn

Community Common Hour on the Lawn occurs during the first common hour (Tuesday/Thursday 12-2 PM) of each semester. This event brings the Rollins campus together to enjoy food, music, and fun!

R Community Fair

The R-Community Fair occurs once every semester and provides an opportunity for community partners and members from the Greater Orlando area to come to campus and meet Rollins students and faculty.

SSF Fundraiser

Every year, the Student Support Foundation (SSF) hosts a philanthropy-based fundraiser. Profits from the fundraiser directly support students experiencing a short-term emergency need. SSF has partnered with Fraternity & Sorority Life, Student Government Association, and Winter Park Institute.

#summerSERVE

#summerSERVE is a campus community initiative that connects students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Rollins College to continue their engagement with the local community throughout the summer months. #summerSERVE gives everyone the opportunity to build meaningful relationships through direct service, community engagement, and education.

Halloween Howl

Due to campus construction, Halloween Howl will not be held this year. Please email Sofia at smacias@rollins.edu if you have questions. We apologize for any inconvenience.
