Mission

The Office of International Student & Scholar Services (OISSS) is committed to the values and principles of international education by providing programs & services that contribute to the thriving of our international students and scholars in their successful adjustment to life in the U.S. and at Rollins, as well as their compliance with immigration responsibilities. Dedicated to diversity and inclusion, OISSS promotes the understanding of self and others through intercultural exchange and dialogue.  OISSS serves as the primary resource and advocate for the international community at Rollins.

Vision
OISSS seeks to support intercultural exchange opportunities, create more efficient office processes, and advance our delivery methods of information to students and scholars.

Guiding Principles:

  • Knowledge – Our programs and services provide international students and scholars with information, resources, and regulations that will contribute to their success at Rollins.
  • Community – Our programs seek to create a sense of inclusion and belonging for our international students and scholars.  They also allow students and scholars to engage with and learn from the local community, improving an understanding of self and others.
  • Compliance – Our programs and services guide our international students and scholars to understand U.S. immigration, employment, and tax regulations, as well as policies of the college so that their time at Rollins is productive.
Making an Appeal Students may file written complaints with the Office of International Student & Scholar Services regarding any of the written office policies within these webpages. Such complaints must be filed in writing by email to the director. Students should include their name, student identification number, the nature of their complaint, and desired outcome. Any documentation that supports their complaint should be sent as an attachment. The director will weigh the complaint and respond in writing to the student. All decisions of the director are final.
