New Faculty Information

The following actions MUST be completed PRIOR to your first day of employment
  1. Please complete the following new hire paperwork and email your completed paperwork to We would like you to visit the Human Resources Department as soon as possible so we can verify the documents necessary for the I-9 Form.
  2. All new faculty need to complete an electronic authorization for a criminal background check (MVR if applicable). You will receive a separate email from TrueScreen, our background provider. Do not delete this email. Please follow the directions to log into TrueScreen and complete the electronic form. It is essential that you complete this as quickly as possible in order for Human Resources to be able to activate you as an employee in our system. For more information, please click here.
  3. The Human Resources Department will be present at the new faculty orientation in August to assist with benefits and employment information and decisions. New faculty will have a thirty (30) day period to elect benefits starting from the first day of classes. Health insurance will begin on the first day of classes and other insurance start dates vary.
  4. Faculty are paid on the last working day of the month on a September through May schedule. This means your first check will be the last business day in September. Should you wish to be paid over twelve (12) months, from September to August, you must complete the Deferred Pay Election form and return it to the Human Resources Department.
  5. There is an option to receive an advance of one (1) month's pay in August (you would pay this advance back in 1/9ths from Sept-May). An advance must be requested in writing and sent to Kathy Custer, Director pf Payroll and HR Records, at
