Learn more about the Hebrew Language in first- and second-year courses in modern Hebrew.

Study the Hebrew Language

The study of the Hebrew language is integral to the academic study of Jewish studies. At Rollins College, we offer first and second year of modern Hebrew. These courses count as electives for the minor in Jewish studies as well as for the religious studies major and minor.

Students can also study Hebrew at Tel Aviv University as part of the semester abroad programs offered by the Office of International Programs. Other relevant learning opportunities include field studies in Israel led by Rollins faculty.

Locally, students can use their knowledge of Hebrew in service learning and internships at several institutions such as the Hebrew Day School, Sunday Schools, The Holocaust Education and Resource Center, The Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family service, and Kinneret, a Jewish home for the aged.
