The French Studies Program at Rollins offers a minor in French.
French Program Details
Spoken on five continents, in 35 countries, French is the most studied language in the world. Traditionally associated with style, savoir vivre, culture and fine cuisine, French is also the language of economic power, socio-literary prestige and cutting edge technology. It is considered one of the most influential languages in the world. Currently a French minor program is offered at Rollins. The French Major is temporarily suspended. Students may choose from an array of language, literature, civilization and cinema courses. Rollins offers study abroad programs in France and in other Francophone locations including Morocco and Senegal. Students of French traditionally spend one or more semesters studying not only language and culture, but also field as varied as business, communications, and international relations; they also have the option to complete an internship or do research abroad.
