Parents & Family Council

Council members actively participate in the life of the College and provide critical financial support to Rollins. The talent and commitment of Parents & Family Council members contributes to the enrichment of each student’s experience.

Mission

Parents & Family Council members support Rollins’ goal of providing the highest quality liberal arts education to promising young men and women. Members are committed to:

  • Support the College with unrestricted leadership gifts to The Rollins Fund and encourage other parents to contribute
  • Act as an ambassador within one’s respective community, promoting Rollins as a college choice to potential student applicants
  • Serve as a liaison in keeping other parents informed about current campus events and strategic initiatives, and to provide the College with important feedback

Advancement

Members of The Parents & Family Council foster a close relationship between parents and the College, as well as with each other, creating and maintaining mutual understanding and good will in an effort to share the importance of providing financial support for Rollins in order to meet the needs of the College. The Rollins Annual Fund has a profound and immediate impact on every aspect of a Rollins education. Special initiatives, brought to the attention of Council members by senior administrators, provide additional funding to the College, necessary to enrich and enhance the educational experience of Rollins students.

Membership

Early each fall semester, current parents of Rollins students are invited to join the Parents & Family Council. By joining and becoming a leader in our community, you help strengthen and support a robust group that wishes to actively engage in the future of Rollins. Members of the Council are expected to:

  1. Contribute to The Rollins Fund each fiscal year (June 1 – May 31) with a gift of $5,000 or more.
  2. Assist with activities as your comfort level and schedule permits, including fundraising and welcoming incoming families (making welcome calls to parents of admitted students and hosting summer welcome receptions in select cities)
