Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund

The Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando (HHSFMO) is the largest non-profit organization in Central Florida dedicated to providing scholarships to Hispanic students pursuing a college or university degree.  Since its inception in 2000, the HHSF has awarded more than $800,000 in scholarships to 209 students in Central Florida.

This award is offered in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund. Applicants must be Florida resident living in Orange, Lake, Seminole or Osceola County, must be a U.S. citizen (or legal permanent resident, or have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status), and must be willing to attend the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund gala award event in October.

Awardees will complete leadership training and management internships over the course of their experience as a Rollins student. When combined with available Federal and State aid, the award covers the cost of full-time tuition (three four-credit courses per fall and spring terms). The award is competitive (3.0 cumulative grade point average is preferred) and is renewable at the same level for a total of up to five academic years from the initiation of the award or until graduation, whichever comes first.

Applicants must complete the Hamilton Holt School admission process (including submission of official high school and/or college transcripts); and a REEL scholarship application.  Application deadline for all admission and scholarship application materials is April 13, 2018.

This award may not be combined with other Rollins institutional grants or scholarships and is not available to currently-enrolled Hamilton Holt School students.

Note: Although a goal of both partners is to increase the number of Hispanic students at Rollins College, the scholarship award will be made based on applicant qualifications, not ethnicity or racial characteristics.
