Dean's Scholarship for Leadership in the African-American Community

This award will assist a qualified Holt student who seeks to play a significant role in community leadership in the African American community after graduation. The recipient will be expected to maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and complete a core set of leadership courses.

The award amount is $4,000 per year for two academic years. Candidate must be a graduate of a Central Florida public high school, with preference given to Orange County. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, demonstrated engagement in the African American community, and financial need as determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process.

Applicants must complete the Hamilton Holt School admission process (including submission of official high school transcripts); and must submit a scholarship application - applications accepted March 1 - May 1, 2017. Applicant should address past and/or current leadership and engagement in the African American community in the essay section of the application.

This award may not be combined with other Rollins institutional grants or scholarships.
