Congratulations on your acceptance to the Graduate Studies in Counseling program at Rollins College! We are committed to helping you make this a positive education and personal growth experience that will prepare you for what we hope will be a successful and satisfying career as a professional counselor.

Instructions on how to set up your Rollins accounts have been emailed to the address provided on your admission application. It is important that you set up these accounts as soon as possible. Your Rollins email address is the official communication method of the college. You are responsible for checking it regularly. Financial Aid and program faculty will begin communicating with you via your Rollins email address prior to the start of classes. If you need assistance with your Rollins email, Foxlink account, or other Rollins accounts, please contact the IT Helpdesk at 407-628-6363.

Set yourself up for success by completing everything on this new student checklist prior to orientation.

Connect to Your Online Resources

Via the Rollins student directory site. It is important that you set up your Rollins email account and access Foxlink as soon as possible. Need help? IT HelpDesk: 407-628-6363 or online.

Register for Classes

Fall 2019 registration will open in early June. You must complete your Title IX training prior to registration. See the Registration tab for more instructions once you have finished reading this checklist. 

Print a Detailed Class Schedule

Accessible via FoxLink. You will need this to get your R-Card and purchase books.

Obtain Your R-Card

All students are required to obtain an R-Card. Visit the Campus Security office to pick yours up. Your R-Card serves as your college identification and shows your R-Number. It also can serve as a debit card for dining and retail on campus. There is no charge for your first R-Card. You must bring a copy of your student schedule and a photo ID with you to the R-Card office.

Get Your Parking Decal

You will be charged $75 for your parking permit at the time of inital registration. You may pick up your parking decal at the Campus Security office after submitting your vehicle registration in Foxlink. Your R-Card will allow you unlimited access to the SunTrust Parking garage. Read the rules and regulations about campus parking carefully. If you do not wish to purchase a parking decal, please complete the Parking Decal Wavier Request Form.

Buy Your Books

Available from the Rollins College Bookstore or eFollet online. The Rollins Bookstore is located near the corner of New York Avenue and Fairbanks Avenue. Through FoxLink, you can deposit money onto your R-Card to use financial aid to pay for your books.

Complete Mandatory Online Title IX Training

Prior to beginning classes on campus, you are required to complete an online Title IX training series. If you do not complete this training, a registration hold will be placed on your student account that will prevent you from registering for future semesters.

Once you have completed the training, please send a scanned copy of your completed certificates to

To complete the training:

  1. Access Foxlink
  2. Click on the Student tab, then select Student Life from the drop-down menu
  3. Look for the Safe@Rollins Online Courses box toward the center bottom.
    1. To begin the training modules, click on All Holt Students
    2. For course descriptions, click on Safe@Rollins

  4. Once you have completed the registration process, please complete the following three mandatory courses:

    1. Under “Sexual Assault Prevention” – select “SH-101-H Lasting Choices: Protecting Our Campus From Sexual Assault
    2. Under “Harassment/Respect Among Peers” – select “SH-110-H Show Some Respect! Prevent Harassment
    3. Under “Healthy Relations and Dating Violence” – select “SH-120-H Healthy Relationships (Higher Education)

We also encourage you to complete the optional modules "Mosaic" and "Impressions."

How to Register


All students are required to check-in each semester in order to verify their personal information prior to registering. Online pre-registration new student check-in is now open via FoxLink. Once you have changed your initial password, navigate to the Registration & Student Records Tab. Then, look for the Hamilton Holt Check-In link at the top of the Course Registration box. You will not be able to register until this process is complete.

Registration: TBD (June)

The online registration period will be open in early June. Click on the Registration and Student Records tab in FoxLink, then select the Holt Registration link in the Course Registration box. Course registration numbers are available through the online class schedule. When registering, use the five-digit course registration numbers (CRN) located on the schedule next to the course number to register for your courses. Do not search for classes via FoxLink. If this is your first time registering at Rollins, please take a moment to review the Registration Instructions link for step-by-step instructions and guidelines. 

What Classes Should I Register for?

Students on the 3-year, full-time track should register for CPY 510, CPY 515, and CPY 538.
Students on the 4-year, part-time track should register for CPY 510 and CPY 538.

Financial assistance is available to graduate students eligible to receive federal loans through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Student Loans Program. To apply, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Be sure to follow the instructions and list Rollins College, code 001515 as a recipient of the information. Please allow up to six weeks for processing. You will receive a Financial Aid Award letter if you have applied for financial aid. For more information or if you have questions about your award, call or visit the Financial Aid Office located in the Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Building at the corner of Fairbanks and Park Avenues, telephone 407-646-2395. Counselors are available Monday through Friday by phone or on a walk-in basis from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.


First-year students in the graduate counseling program are invited to apply for departmental scholarships. Second-year students may apply for a scholarship renewal on a funds-available basis. Awards are based on academic achievement, academic promise, financial circumstances, and attempts to maintain a diverse student body. Amounts will be determined based on funds available each academic year. Only students who have been fully admitted may apply for a tuition scholarship. Students who have been provisionally admitted may apply for funding in their second year.

Graduate assistant positions are posted at the Rollins Jobs site. We recommend that you check the site regularly for new postings as they will be added throughout the summer and are posted for a limited time.


If your employer offers tuition reimbursement, please complete the Tuition Deferment form with your employer and submit it to the Bursar's office prior to registration.

*Note: All program except counseling will have a program breakout session after lunch. Please see below for information about your program orientation on August 28th that will take the place of a breakout session.

Please park in the SunTrust Parking garage. If the parking gate is down and you have not already purchased your parking decal, bring your parking stub to the event to be validated.

Exit the SunTrust Garage in the southeast corner and follow the sideway to left (away from Park Avenue) to cross Fairbanks Avenue at the crosswalk. Once you pass under the iron archway, follow the brick pathway to the first building on your right. Look for the blue and yellow orientation signs.


  • Suggested dress for orientation is business casual. No shorts, tanks tops, ripped jeans, etc.

  • Do not plan to pick up your student ID and parking permit the day of orientation. The Campus Security Office cannot accommodate large crowds on the weekend.
