Protocols for COVID Isolation and Quarantine – May 2022

Colleagues,

As of May 31, the Campus Clear App will no longer be supported and we will conclude our contract with Rapid Trace for contact tracing.  As we move into the summer, please adhere to the following COVID isolation and quarantine protocols:

If you test positive for COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status:

  • Stay home and isolate for seven (7) days.
  • Inform your supervisor that you are unable to come to campus due to our isolation and quarantine rules.
  • You will be able to work on campus after 7 days if you have been fever-free for 24 hours and symptoms have improved.  Otherwise, remain at home until 24 hours after your symptoms subside.
  • Continue to wear a mask around others for five additional days after leaving isolation.
  • If you are staff and you are unable to work remotely report your absences for the first 5 days as PTO.  Thereafter you will be paid Salary Continuation for the duration of your required isolation.

If you were exposed to someone with COVID-19 and:

Exposure means you were within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or longer over a 24-hour period who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 7 days.

If you are fully vaccinated*:

  • You do not need to quarantine unless you develop symptoms
  • Wear a mask around others for 10 days
  • Get tested after 5 days using at home tests or contact your healthcare provider for further guidance.

*If you completed your primary series but are not yet eligible for a booster you are also considered up to date.

*Getting a second booster is not necessary to be considered up to date at this time.
