The Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins

Dear friends,

CFAM, like museums around the globe, is closed to the pubic in an effort to avoid the spread of COVID-19. While we continue to monitor the quickly evolving situation and to prioritize the safety of our students, staff, volunteers, and visitors, we are actively exploring opportunities to engage with you online and hope that you stay connected with us via our website and on social media.

A few new features: for those of you who want to visit the African Apparel exhibition again, see this virtual view of the exhibition which includes an interview between MacKenzie Moon Ryan, Associate Professor of Art History at Rollins and exhibition lender Norma Canelas Roth ‘65 on the making of the exhibit and its two-year process. If you prefer shorter visits, check out our Instagram @cfamrollins for features such as in-depth looks at individual objects in the exhibition; Tuesday activities for parents and kids #RollinsMuseumKids; and our Wednesday #RollinsMuse sharing some of our staff’s favorite works on view. Along with other cultural institutions, we're using the Instagram #MuseumFromHome in an effort to continue to share our collection, knowledge, and insights with you. Don’t forget to visit our blog page for original content, including a new series launching soon featuring research on our American collection.

As a museum accredited by The American Alliance of Museums, we are fortunate to have access and to share with you their many helpful resources and up-to-date reports on how the museum field is reacting to this unprecedent situation. For the specific Rollins response, please visit the College's emergency site, where you can reference previous messages, FAQs, and a list of the college's cancelled events. We offer continued thanks for your patience, understanding, and support during this unprecedented time.

Hope to see you soon in our galleries again,
