Baccalaureate

What is Baccalaureate?
Traditionally, Baccalaureate services were always Christian in nature and held in a chapel setting. Throughout the years, many colleges and universities changed the service in order to be more inclusive. Baccalaureate has also evolved at Rollins.

Baccalaureate is a service where students and their families and friends can enter into a time of reflection and celebration on a spiritual (or faith) level. The service is held the evening prior to graduation. Two years ago, the Office of Religious & Spiritual Life entered into a partnership with the Office of Alumni Engagement to host Baccalaureate together. The event is now called Baccalaureate and Seniorwish.

The service consists of music and dance. One of the many highlights are reflections given by several graduating students who have been associated with the Office of Religious & Spiritual Life.

This year's ceremony is in Knowles Chapel on Saturday, May 7, at 4 p.m. to celebrate graduating seniors.
