WINTER PARK, FL (June 8, 2016) — The Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business will be unveiling a refreshed curriculum for the Fall 2016 semester, featuring a new and diverse range of elective courses designed to align with changes occurring in the marketplace. After conducting qualitative market research, insights from dozens of top-tier corporations, as well as student and alumni focus groups, Crummer’s esteemed faculty have developed the curriculum to meet the needs of an ever-evolving business climate. New electives explore hot topics such as data analytics and digital media while also emphasizing critical thinking, communication skills, and leading a multi-generational workforce. The changes aim to bring the MBA programs to a new level of innovation, adjust to challenges leaders will face, and ensure relevancy in the business world.

The following seven concentrations will be available to the full-time Early Advantage MBA students, while the Professional MBA and Executive MBA students can choose from the first three:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Management
  • Operations and Technical Management
  • Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Enterprise
  • International Business

“At Crummer we always strive to provide the most progressive skills and knowledge to our students while still emphasizing the in-classroom experience and practical learnings for real world application,” says Tom McEvoy, Interim Dean of Rollins Crummer Graduate School of Business. “The opportunity for specialization across a wider range of dynamic yet targeted course offerings will ensure long-lasting and fruitful ventures for all of our MBA students.”

To prepare graduates to become successful leaders in the dynamic and evolving marketplace, each concentration contains valuable elective courses for students to customize their learning experience beyond the core of required courses. Crummer’s esteemed faculty will teach the new electives covering fascinating and useful topics such as raising capital, crowdfunding, global sustainability, and family business, all of which reflect the rapid growth in these business sectors and were developed to enhance Crummer’s holistic, applied approach to learning inside and outside the classroom. Alongside the existing faculty, several new faculty members will be joining in the fall to support the expanded curriculum, all with expertise in the new disciplines designed to strategically align with today’s market trends.
