Rollins Offers New Human Resources Management Certificate Program

June 5, 2013 - Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business today announced the addition of a new Strategic Human Resource Management Certificate program. The objective of the program is to ensure that critical HR functions are positioned strategically to contribute to the long-term competitive advantage and growth of an organization.

“In today’s global marketplace, Human Resources needs to partner with operational leaders to translate the business strategy into a plan of action,” said Erica Sorrell, executive director of Rollins College’s Management and Executive Center. “We recognized the need for a curriculum that can support senior HR leaders in this process.”

In 10 weeks, participants will focus on key areas such as understanding how HR adds value to an organization, linking development initiatives to overarching strategy, defining a set of targeted metrics and measures and executing performance management and compensation management as levers of organizational success.

The Human Resource Management Certificate is approved for Business Management and Strategy recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). The program runs from September through November of this year.
