The Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business today announced that Katherine Boo Gonzalez is the recipient of this year’s Martin Bell Scholarship — a full scholarship to the Rollins Executive MBA program. The Martin Bell Scholarship is awarded annually to a senior non-profit professional who demonstrates outstanding leadership in their field.

Katherine Boo Gonzalez serves as regional chief development officer for the American Red Cross Mid-Florida Region. She is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership to support the successful and efficient execution of the $4.7MM Region Development Plan.

“A key requirement for all Martin Bell Scholarship candidates is that they have demonstrated true commitment to improving the Central Florida community,” said Craig McAllaster, dean of the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business. “Katherine’s experience with the American Red Cross has shown exemplary commitment to her work and to the Mid-Florida region. We commend her on this achievement and look forward to her participation in the Executive MBA program.”

Katherine has earned a reputation as a versatile and innovative business leader with a proven track record of raising revenue in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She is also known for her expertise in strategic planning and talent for bringing ideas and people together. She received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Alabama.

The Martin Bell Scholarship was established in 1988 in honor of Dr. Martin L. Bell, former director of the Rollins Executive MBA program, who was a passionate advocate of business graduates using their skills to benefit charitable organizations.
