Rollins Welcomes New Career Development Center Executive Director Jane Trnka

Rollins MBA Career Development Center offers support to students and alumni with world-class coaching and job resources.

November 21, 2011—The Rollins MBA at the Crummer Graduate School of Business today announces that Jane Trnka has joined the Career Development Center as Executive Director. Trnka will provide leadership for all Career Center programs and outreach, as well as one-on-one career counseling to students and alumni of the Rollins MBA programs.

“I look forward to building on the opportunities for students and alumni through the Career Development Center and expanding our network of potential employers in Florida, as well as throughout the United States,” said Trnka. “In a challenging economy, Rollins MBA alumni should take advantage of resources offered through the Career Center if faced with tough transitions or looking for new opportunities.”

Trnka brings over 20 years of experience in human resources to the center where she will work with students and alumni in the areas of leadership, organizational development, talent management, learning and development. Trnka is certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR), which is conferred by the Human Resource Certification Institute. Her experience covers the private, public, for-profit and not-for-profit sectors across several industries including; manufacturing and distribution, travel, telecommunications, insurance and consulting.

Most recently, Trnka was a consultant and coach with Right Management, an industry leader in career transition management. She has also worked with Valencia Enterprises and other organizations as a trainer, facilitator and human resources consultant.

Trnka serves on the Advisory Board for the Winter Park TECH Administrative Assistants Program, and she is a Speaker and Encourager for the Career Management Network group in Orlando. She received her BS in Public Administration from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and her Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. Trnka is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
