Rollins MBA Celebrates August 2010 Commencement

August 23, 2010—The Rollins MBA announced today that commencement ceremonies for the August 21, 2010 graduating class took place at the Warden Arena at the Harold & Ted Alfond Sports Complex. The commencement honored graduates of the school’s Professional MBA and Saturday MBA programs.

Approximately 84 percent of the Rollins MBA class graduated on August 21st. The school attributes its graduation success to its team-structured learning environment, which includes student groups and cohorts that foster a supporting learning environment and powerful, life-long connections.

“This class has taken a very important step in developing their careers and we know that the skills they take with them will help them build on their success both professionally and personally,” said Craig McAllaster, dean of the Rollins MBA.

The commencement address was given by John Caparella, a hospitality operations executive with 29 years of experience. He is the principal of Redmont Hospitality; a hotel industry firm specialized in the aggressive asset management, due diligence, distressed property analysis and management, acquisitions and sales. Caparella served as EVP & COO for Gaylord Hotels and was responsible for operations, sales and marketing for four of the largest, most operationally complex hotels in the country. Caparella received his MBA from Rollins College, graduating first in his class in 2005.
