Each year, leading accrediting body AASCB recognizes institutions around the world that are creating relevant, impactful, visionary business schools for tomorrow. The Global Links Initiative—sponsored by the Rick and Susan Goings Foundation, Rollins’ Crummer Graduate School of Business, and the U.S. Department of State—has been recognized in the “Innovations That Inspire” category.

The Global Links Initiative is a cross-cultural exchange program built on the pillars of women’s economic empowerment and social change, providing in-depth business training in social entrepreneurship and practical business skills to high-achieving female scholars in developing and post-conflict countries.

“New demands from stakeholders require reimagined business school initiatives, and The Global Links Initiative demonstrates a fresh way forward for business education,” says Caryn Beck-Dudley, AASCB president and CEO. “By leveraging innovation for knowledge co-creation, new methods of learning, and expanded educational access, this program is meeting market expectations and increasing value for businesses, learners, and society.”

Now in its eighth year, the “Innovations That Inspire” awards recognize programs that exemplify forward-looking approaches to education, research, community engagement, entrepreneurship, leadership, and diversity and inclusion. AACSB recognizes The Global Links Initiative as a champion of change in the business education landscape, highlighting its efforts to define new realities for the future of learning, leading, and connecting while paving the way to a re-energized value proposition for business education.

The Global Links Initiative celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2021 and is now reaching upward of 172,000 people. With its latest support from the Goings Foundation, the program is set to expand into Latin America from its established base in Brazil over the next five years.
